Pauline MacDonald is a trained soprano. She began her singing career at the age of 7 as a member of the children’s and teen choir at St. Patrick’s church in Yorktown Heights. At Ave Maria University, she studied vocal music and gained experience in areas of sacred music, chant, choir conducting, and opera performance. During her years of college, she had an opportunity to sing for a papal mass at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. As a member of the Metropolitan Catholic Chorale, she has performed at multiple venues, notably including St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York. She is also featured as a back-up vocalist in the 2020 album, Wind and Sorrow. Pauline has sung for numerous weddings of friends and family throughout the United States and in Ireland. She has been a cantor for Sunday Masses and a member of the choir for several Westchester and Connecticut parishes.
Pauline continues to serve as a lead vocalist for Praise & Worship bands in the New York area and cantor at special events. She has experience of directing choir in her previous schools, and she is very excited to conduct the Hawthorn Chorus where she hopes to instill in students a love for singing and music.
