Computer Science and Programming Club
Computer Science and Programming Club
The Club will take place on Tuesdays at 2.45pm in Room 10, starting on Tuesday April 1st and running through Tuesday June 3rd.
Mr. Banevicius, a graduate of Princeton with a bachelor’s in Computer Science, will serve as the faculty moderator. In addition to his undergraduate studies, Mr. Banevicius comes to Hawthorn with prior industry experience as a software engineer for leading firms in both the financial-tech and advertising-tech industries. All Hawthorn students, 10 years or older, are welcome to join. No prior knowledge of programming or computers required. Just bring your curiosity and passion for learning. Each student will need to bring their own laptop and charger. This is not to be used during the school day, but only after school and only in the context of the Computer Science club.
If your child would like to participate but has not signed up yet, please contact Mr. Banevicius (gbanevicius@thehawthornschool.com) or sign up here
