Merry Christmas

Dear Hawthorn parents and friends,

As we approach Christmas, our thoughts turn to God’s infinite love, something that evokes both gratitude and wonder. Our school has started off very successfully and we are grateful to those of you who have pioneered this beginning. We also extend a warm welcome to those who continue to enroll.

This past autumn has seen our students deepen their academic content knowledge, sing together, explore the natural world, play, form friendships, pray, and embrace the beauty of poetry. Day after day they are growing in the habits and knowledge that will form the foundation of their adult lives. There is an intentional atmosphere of calm here, something key to human flourishing. This serenity is partly our own doing, but ultimately derives from the Creator who came to us “while all things were in gentle silence…”

As you plan to enjoy the Christmas vacation with your family and friends, please accept my very best wishes for a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year on behalf of all of us at the Hawthorn School.

Sincerely,
