Class Parties
St. Patrick's Day was a popular day of celebration on the boys' wing at Hawthorn. Mr. Simonetti's class enjoyed a St. Patrick's Day-themed pizza party, played a St. Patrick's Day "Bingo" game, and built a leprechaun trap. Mr. Banevicius' and Mr. McGovern's class enjoyed delicious food at lunchtime, thanks to the efforts of class parents. Particularly significant was the privilege that the boys had to venerate a first-class relic of St. Patrick himself, brought in by Mr. Simonetti.
Last week, Mr. Edelson's class earned a Pizza Party for good behavior, and on 3/14 enjoyed a celebration of "Pi Day" with generous helpings of homemade pie. Kindergarten students honored Mrs. Macalintal as she transitioned to start her maternity leave. Thoughtful and artistic cards were presented, as all enjoyed sweet treats.
Photos of these celebrations may be found here. Thank you to all the class parents who make these memorable occasions come together!
